SPEED Seat Console Driver Side Toyota GR86 / GT86 / BRZ

A seat attachment is primarily a safety-relevant component and we designed it as such . Breakouts and the shape of the components are not chosen arbitrarily, but are based on the results of calculations and simulations of the stress curves in the loaded state.

Each of our components has been subjected to FEM simulation to ensure safety first and therefore to optimize weight.

In addition, with our solution we achieve the lowest possible sitting position in front of the steering wheel and at the same time in the middle.

We avoid the awkward locking of difficult-to-access nuts under the console by using internal threads in the component. Less fastening material, less effort, smooth installation, with maximum utilization of the given installation space, which we recorded and measured using a 3D scanner.

Our L-adapters were designed in 4 mm steel after numerous tests and have well thought-out placement of the holes in order to adjust the lowest possible position with a wide variety of seat shell shapes. The double row of holes allowed us to refine the scaling of the height.

With this design we were able to reduce the lever arms between the attachment points. As a result, lower loads occur due to lower torques. The console therefore consists of two parts and not only reduces the weight, but also the effort involved in assembly.
