The combination of seat, console, and guide rail has undergone extensive testing in accordance with various ECE directives to ensure compliance with German road traffic regulations (StVZO). The results of these TÜV tests are on file at selected TÜV Rheinland locations. An expert on-site then conducts the assessment and checks, on a vehicle-specific basis, whether and under what conditions this combination can be registered. This should generally be possible without problems for cars whose type approval was granted without a seat side airbag or with an optional seat side airbag. Specific installation requirements must be coordinated. The assessment of the technical modification is carried out on a case-by-case basis.
